I hope you are enjoying this sunny day. Even if it’s chilly, it really looks like spring out there!
Thank you for your patience as I’ve been figuring out how we will approach Danny Boy and I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing. I think we’re ready!
I’ve attached a pdf with the revoicing for Danny Boy. It covers m.33-end, which is where it splits into many parts. This “rearrangement” has some divisi, but nothing like the 8 parts of the original. Dean’s piano will cover any missing notes and the audience will have no idea of our secret 🙂
The shared folder (and Practice Resources page) now contains these new lines for Danny Boy, the alto 2 notes for Hymn of Acxiom (sorry!!), and the parts for I’d Like to Teach. For these last ones, I’ve tried to clarify which line to sing – it’s a bit tricky to follow! As we marked in rehearsal, for much of the S2 and A1 sing together, and the A2 and T sing together.Â
