We’re getting there. Steadily working and learning and improving. Like the little engine that could 🙂
Practice every chance you get. We all need to have choir-on-the-brain this week.
Practice with your folder AND looking in the mirror. No one is coming to the concert to stare at the top of your head. Look up! We were really starting to get good with expression by the end of last night’s rehearsal!
You will FEEL amazing about your progress and performance when you are well-prepared. Increased familiarity with the music = increased confidence = increased YAY!!
A reminder about timings:
Dress Rehearsal
Friday, May 1st
7:15-9:15 pm
– Wear concert black for our photo. Scarves and ties will be passed out.
– Musically, this is our last chance to run everything before Sunday.
– Warm-up before arriving
Concert Day!
Sunday, May 3rd
Arrive no later than 1:00 pm for sound check and set up.
– We will meet in the room with the green walls and start our preparations while our crew is setting up the sanctuary.
– We will have just enough time to do a few spot checks and run through Baba Yetu with Ryan. At 1:20 we will rehearse I’d Like to Teach with HBHC.
– Sell those tickets! (please!) It’s so nice to sing for a full audience!
