Hello Choristers,
Just wanted to touch base as we head into the last few weeks together.
– For those of you who missed last night’s rehearsal, the total from the Silent Auction of March 31 was approximately $450 (some $ still coming in). Well done folks! Thanks for your donations and your support in shopping!
– Dawn , our treasurer, told us last night that tickets for the concert are now available online. See the poster sent from Krista, or our FB page or our Encoreast website. Please share the poster on your social media. Krista sent an email invite that we can forward to people as well. You can also purchase for others and collect from them. The other piece of news Dawn shared is that people who purchase tickets can indicate who invited them to attend, or told them about it. And the choir member who has “sold” the most tickets is going to win a prize! We are hoping for a great turnout! Major source of revenue for us.

– The dress rehearsal for the concert will be on Friday night, May 1 at 7:15. We are asking you to wear your black attire that evening because we will be having our group photo taken with the new colors (scarves and ties) . Photo will be taken at 7:30. Thank you!!!
– Finally, a word about choir etiquette. This term has seen many of us miss rehearsals for any number of valid reasons, and as you know, Krista works really hard in her follow up notes to keep us up to date on things we may have missed. We are so so very lucky to have Krista and Dean as our directors, and we owe it to them to make our rehearsals efficient and effective. Although it is a pleasure to see that we are all starting to get to know one another better, it is a little embarrassing that Krista has had to ask us to please stop chatting, to pay attention, and to watch her. We are all adults and most of us have been in choirs before. We can do better. And like she said, our performance improves so much when we pay attention and watch her. Let’s do it gang!!!
We want to encourage healthy camaraderie in the group, through break time, workshops, social events and even coming early if you like. The church is open before 7.
– Please double check if you are still planning on attending the Funeral service for Elizabeth, the former director. Krista will be finalizing that list soon. You don’t have to have known Elizabeth, just know the music! (Ha ha! ) There will be a practice for this event on the Tuesday AFTER the concert, May 5. The funeral service is Friday evening May 8.
